D & M Freedman specializes in Chinese porcelain and works of art, as well as Japanese porcelain. The Chinese and Japanese porcelain usually covers the period from 16th to 19th century, with an emphasis on Chinese blue and white. The Chinese works of art focus on 20th century paintings in ink and colour, often in the Guohua style, by recognized artists. Other works of art include snuffbottles, fans, etc. After 30 years as director of a leading London dealership, David Freedman founded the company in 1999 and has since then been supplying collectors, dealers and museums (for example, Museum Fur Ostasiatische Kunst Museum, Cologne, Germany, and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum). He has also vetted regularly at most major European antique fairs.
